How do I book a disco with Capital Nightlife?

There's a number of ways to book with us, you can fill out the form on the bookings page, request a call back at a time of your choosing, call us on 01992 561 393 or email us direct at When making an enquiry, we'll need to know a few details to give you an accurate quote:

  • Type of event, ie Wedding, Birthday, Corporate
  • The venue address
  • Start and finish times

How much does a disco cost?

Our rates are among the most competitive you'll find and are based on the date, time, duration and type of event. If you're working to a specific budget - let us know what it is and we'll be able to provide you with a suitable package. When you book with us we'll go through ALL of your requirements, including playlist, the evening plan, any special arrangements, etc.

What's included in the price?

You don't just get an experienced DJ and a highly professional sound and lighting set-up, you also get many years of professional experience and opinion in the weeks and months leading up to your event. Contact us anytime with your ideas, questions and queries. And there's NO hidden costs or add-ons.

How do I pay?

If you're happy to proceed with a booking we would ask you to confirm your event details and then pay a deposit (by cheque, credit or debit card). We will then send you written confirmation of your booking and the remaining balance is paid to your DJ on the night of the event. Once your booking is confirmed we can start taking requests, playlists and other special announcements or requirements.

What kind of music will you play on the night?

Because every event is unique, we like to have as much of your input into what you'd like to hear on the night. Devise as much of your own playlist as you wish, or if you prefer you can leave it up to us. After all, our DJs are extremely experienced and will know what music is and is not appropriate for your event.

Do you take requests and playlists?

Yes, we will be providing you with request forms in advance where you can list as many songs and/or styles as you wish. And of course on the night, you and your guests are welcome to talk to your DJ at any time for requests.

How do you confirm the booking?

We send out booking confirmation in writing which will show all the information that we've agreed for your event, this will be signed by both parties.

When will you arrive and how long do you need to set up?

Our DJs arrive an hour before the event start time to set up, giving adequate time to set up with a little spare, just in case!

What will the DJ be wearing on the night?

The normal dress code is smart casual but this can be discussed to your satisfaction when you book. Shirt and tie or indeed black tie events are also covered.

Do you cover children's parties and school events?

Yes, we're experienced in covering events of all styles and age groups, and in fact we have DJs who specialise in children's parties.

Are you insured and is your equipment safe?

One of our primary concerns is health and safety so all of our equipment is Portable Appliance Tested (PAT) annually and we also carry public liability insurance.

Can I contact the DJ before the event?

Yes, once the booking process is complete and the DJ is in possession of your request list and other details, we'll give you all the DJ's contact details so you can start a dialogue before your event.

Do you perform in marquees?

Yes. We would just need two 13-amp plug sockets reasonably close to where you'd like the disco to be situated.

What happens if my DJ is ill on the day of my event?

Quite simply, we'd send you a replacement DJ free of charge.
